Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global health challenge, and the emergence of drug-resistant strains adds another layer of complexity to this already daunting issue. Drug-resistant tuberculosis, particularly multi-drug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) and extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB), poses a grave threat to public health systems worldwide. As we grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it's imperative not to lose sight of the persistent threat of TB, especially its drug-resistant forms.
